Hey Band!

Here's the link to the recording of Centuria.

Please go and listen to the pieces and look at how far behind are we from achieving this kind of standard.
We have only 5 practices, which is equivalent to 35 hours left before National Band Competition starts.
We CAN get this done in this time, but ONLY if you people cooperate and turn up for band, and not disappear without a trace.

Look at this picture. ACCOUNTABILITY is the key to the success of everything, be it an individual, a team or an organisation. Nothing will work out if we come and go as we please with accounting to others.

- "In the last analysis, of course, an oath will encourage fidelity in office only to the degree that officeholders continue to believe that they cannot escape ultimate accountability for a breach of faith."
James L. Buckley

Accountability plays an important role in helping us to grow and soar to greater heights at SYF 2011.
Do you want to be accountable for your actions, or would you give a 'heck care' attitude about it? I hope you choose the first.

Consider this: What is your goal for National Band Competition?

HEEEY. Hello haahha :D
I've updated the band practices for June holidays.
You all should have gotten the forms by now.
For those who do not have the forms, approach Janson.
For those who have it, fill it up, get it sign by your parents and bring it on the next practice.
Ah, and also indicate dates of which you would not be able to attend for the practices on the form, and the valid reason to it.
If you are absent without any valid reasons, you will be marked as absent!

National Band Competition(NBC) will be held on the 10th of July, mainly for the sec2s and sec3s.
The 2 pieces we will be performing for the NBC would be 'Manhattan Beach' & 'Centuria'.
I really hope all of you will come for band practices and practice diligently on your 2pieces.
I don't think any of you want to perform on the stage with the current state we are at right.
So, I hope we can all really work together and perform as a BAND! :D
Yeah so, please call up all your bandmates and ask them to come for the band practices okay!
And, do not be late for the band practices!

Next band practice: 1st June, Tuesday, 8.00am till 2.00pm.
(For all Sec 1 to Sec 3 band members)

[Hey I'm sorry for those who've read the post, I remebered the date wrongly!
The National Band Competition is on 10th of July, not 16th! :X]
