Hey people!
1) For the Junior band, I have send all of you a message yesterday regarding the full band uniform you are suppose to wear during NDP. For those who did not receive it or are still unaware, please purchase parts of your full band uniform by this weekend as we will check your uniform on the friday practice.
The items you are suppose to buy are:
1.White collar long-sleeve shirt
2. Half knee length white socks
3. Black boots
You can purchase these items in the Army Wholesale Market located at Beach Road or any shops that sell it. If you are sill unable to find them, you can approach any Majors or Seniors. Also, please come on this Wednesday practice as we are going to help you find a blazer that suit your size and give you your ties. As for your pant or skirt, you are suppose to wear school short for the boys and school skirt for the girls on the day of performance.
2) The next band practice will be on the coming wednesday (3/8/11) from 2.30pm to 6.00pm. Please try to make it for the coming practices as we only left 2 more practices before our NDP performance and we are only going to have 1 rehearsal, which is on this friday, with the Uniform Group. If you are going to be absent or late, please inform your Section Leader or any Majors. So, let us make good use of the coming practices to practice our parts well and make this NDP performance a memorable one!

The next band practice is on this friday (29/7/11) from 2.30pm to 6.00pm. Those who did not get the band schedule for this term, please take 1 copy of the schedule from the band notice board (near the bookshop).
Here is the finalised songs that we are playing for NDP:

2.Inspection: General Salute
3.Slow March: Land of Hope and Glory
4.National Anthem
5.March Out: Memories of Friendship
Please try to look the scores for these 5 songs and familarise with the fingerings that you are unsure  of.

Hey Guys!
Great Job in the performances yesterday! We did our best and have no regrets! Although there are many unexpected circumstances occuring, but we still managed to pull through them! All in all, Great Job!

The next band practice for Junior and Senior band is on the 27/7/11  (Wednesday) from 2.30pm to 6.00pm. Our next performance will be NDP and this performance will include the sec 1s to join us! So let us work hard together and achieve good results in the next performance!

Hey Guys!
The Next band practice is on the 20/7/11 (Wednesday) from 2.30pm to 6.00pm. Those who did not come on last wednesday's practice, please collect the latest band schedule from the band notice board near the school canteen. For the Senior band, please make yourself available on the coming Saturday (23/7/11) from 2pm to 9pm even though the schedule state that it is from 4pm to 8pm as our performance timing is still yet to confirm by the Macpherson CC. Also, the songs for our 23 July performance is confirmed. They are Bad Romance, Elvis: The Legend Lives On, Gonna Build a Mountain and a Fanfare (Under the Flag of Glory).
Please also remember to phoyocopy the new scores if you have not and return ALL original scores to any librarians. If you are going to be late for band or absent due to any valid reason, please inform your Section Leader or any Majors.
For the Senior band, we only left 2 more practices to our performance at Macpherson CC and for the Junior band, we only left less than a month time to practice for our NDP, so can we strive to do our best in practicing for every performance we have and making good use of our time in band to work hard for them.

Hello people!
The next band practice will be on next Wednesday (13/7/11) from 2.30pm to 6.00pm. Those who have lessons until 2.45pm or later, please come for band 30 mins after your lesson end. Also, for the senior band, please remember to photocopy the new score (Gonna Build a Mountain) by the next practice and return the score back to any librarians. If you are not coming for band practice or are going to be late, please inform your section leaders or any majors.

Hello people! The next band practice will be on this Friday (8/7/11) from 2.30pm to 6.00pm. For those who will be coming late or are absent on that day, please inform your Section Leader or any Majors. From this Friday practice onward, the Clarinet Section will be doing duty for 5 practices. Also, if you still have any original scores with you, please return to any of the librarians after photocopying it.

Second, please refrain yourself from using your handphone during band practices including sectionals as we only allow handphone during break. If any of the Major saw you using handphone during full band practice or sectional, we will give you a warning first and if you still repeatedly use your handphone after warnings given, we will confiscate and pass it to the teacher-in-charge. Also, all Section Leaders are suppose to know your sectionmates' whereabouts, therefore please try to contact them if any of your sectionmate is missing. Please be punctual on Friday for band practice.

Hello people! Was the game fun? Don't worry, this won't be the last time we are having games!

The next band practice will be next wednesday (6/7/11) from 2.30pm to 6.00pm. Please remember to return all the original scores to the librarians as we will take action if there are still any original score in your section that are yet to return. Also, for the Senior band, please ensure that you are free from 2pm to 9pm on 23/7/11 because we are performing at the Macpherson CC. As for the Junior band, please practice the songs for national day which include Land of Hope and Glory, March Together, General Salute, National Anthem and Memories of Friendship (can try to play this song after learning the other 4 songs).

I know that sometimes band is quite boring, especially when Mr Samuel is working on some parts of the song with other section, but can we try to respect Mr Samuel by not talking or using our phone as this is quite distracting for Mr Samuel. Maybe we can try to learn some new things like dynamics, pitching and other stuff when Mr Samuel is going through the scores with other section even though it may not concern us as it is always good to learn new knowledge.

Please don't be late for practice and if you can't make it for band, please inform your section leader or any majors. If you didn't come for any practice, we will need a parent's letter or Medical Certificate for that particular practice. :)
